Who We Are
We started Becoming Her over a shared feeling: something’s off.
Everything marketed to women feels louder, shinier, bigger… and somehow less honest. Advice doesn’t feel like advice anymore. Recommendations come with discount codes. And it has become harder to tell who was actually informing and who was selling.
Courtney and Esther realised that the best ideas, the most helpful advice, and the stories that stay with you come from the women around you.
The ones living real lives. The ones you trust.
Becoming Her is about putting those voices back at the centre.
We’re a Northern, UK-based platform championing local women and their lived experiences.
At its heart, Becoming Her is about keeping things close to home. Simpler. Slower. More intentional. It’s about women standing with women, learning from one another, and creating space for honest exchange through our blog, our events, and our conversations.
Just women, sharing what they’ve lived, loved, tried, and learned.
Welcome to Becoming Her By Esther and Courtney.
Meet Esther
“What can I say about myself that doesn't seem too crazy… I have a history of jumping headfirst into things I’m passionate about. This has led me to be a New Zealand Rugby Cheerleader, A Group Fitness Instructor, a Sports Media Personality and a Social Media Marketing Manager for some of the most elite luxury hotel brands in the UK and Europe.
I come from a creative background and pride myself on the quirky way that I see the world. I am led by my intuition, and this tends to make life fun and interesting.”
Meet Courtney
“Hey, I’m Courtney! I’m all about creating a life for myself that I’m excited to live every single day. I’m a corporate girly, working with local and international businesses as an accountant. But deep down, I always knew I had a creative side that wasn’t getting the attention it deserved.
That’s when I took the leap into content creation. Since then, I’ve had the chance to work with some of the biggest names in beauty and fashion, including YSL, Charlotte Tilbury, Paco Rabanne, L’Oréal and more. Every day still feels like a pinch-me moment. My hope with Becoming Her is to help you get there, too”
